Reminder: Intermittent flagging operations will occur on Charles Town Pike (Route 9) in the heart of Hillsboro, Va.

Please stay alert and follow the direction of the flaggers.

Week of November 11: INTERMITTENT FLAGGING on Route 9 / Spring Lane
Expect truck traffic throughout the center of town all week as trucks turn off Rt. 9 onto Spring Lane. Please pay attention to flaggers managing traffic during those brief delays.
ONGOING: WATER LINE INSTALLATION UPDATE on Charles Town Pike
 
Flagger operations for the drinking water line installation will be on Charles Town Pike for the next several weeks. There will be daily flagging operations during VDOT approved work hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). Please expect delays of up to 10 minutes traveling on Route 9 during non-peak flagging hours.

Week of October 21: WATER LINE INSTALLATION UPDATE for Charles Town Pike at Stony Point Road
 
Flagging work for the water line installation will soon move into the Stony Point Road / Charles Town Pike intersection around the middle of the week. Crews will set up flaggers daily during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to limit traffic to one lane through that intersection. Throughout this time, all directions (Rt. 9 eastbound, Rt. 9 westbound, and Stony Point Road) will be affected and we appreciate your patience as our flaggers manage traffic flow through the area.
Week of Sept 30, 2019—STONY POINT ROAD ONE LANE CLOSURE
 
Water line installation work will continue with pipe installation on Stony Point Road. Crews will set up flaggers daily during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to limit traffic to one lane.
Week of Sept 23, 2019—HIGHWATER ROAD and SPRING LANE CLOSURES
 
Water line installation work will continue this week along Highwater Road and further up Spring Lane.
Sept 9, 2019—ROAD CLOSURE & LIMITED FLAGGING
 
Beginning today, our Safe Drinking Water construction crew will begin laying pipe on Highwater Road and Spring Lane. This work will disrupt access along both roads during working hours.
 
As work begins on Spring Lane, there will be limited flagging on Route 9 in the heart of Hillsboro with one-lane temporary closure as necessary to accommodate equipment.

Aug 20, 2019—LIMITED FLAGGING

Starting today and continuing all week, limited flagging will take place on Route 9 in the heart of Hillsboro, Va., to bring temporary water tanks and other large materials up to the town’s water works facility along Spring Lane.
