Despite an increase in law enforcement presence, the Town of Hillsboro continues to experience numerous deliberate unsafe actions by motorists who are moving barriers and illegally entering the work zone after hours.
In consultation with law enforcement and first responders, beginning Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m., an immovable, highly visible chained barrier will be placed across Charles Town Pike at the East and West entrance to the work zone. These will be placed behind the multiple ROAD CLOSED barriers, WRONG WAY signs and barrels blocking entrance.
